Students in grades 10-12 from Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington county high schools can explore a career of interest by applying for a WLC job shadow. Students can apply for one job shadow opportunity each portal. Transporation is the student's responsibility.
- Portal 1 (Aug/Sept) 2026: Aug. 17 - Sept. 23, 2026 at 3 p.m.
- Portal 2 (Nov) 2026: Oct. 31 - Nov. 11, 2026 at 3 p.m.
- Portal 3 (Jan) 2027: Jan. 4 - Jan. 20, 2027 at 3 p.m.
AREA 10 students in grades 11-12 can explore a career of interest and earn dual credit by completing a WLC internship.
Applications for second-semester (winter/spring) 2027 internships will be accepted Sept. 28, 2026 - Oct. 23, 2026 at 3 p.m. Application open to students who are juniors or seniors in high school during the 2026-2027 school year.
Applications for summer 2027 internships will be accepted Dec. 21, 2026 - Feb. 5, 2027 at 3 p.m. Application open to students who are sophomores or juniors in high school during the 2026-2027 school year.
