Kirkwood agricultural programs provide exceptional hands-on learning experiences at state-of-the-art facilities that you won’t find anywhere else. The Kirkwood ag campus includes a nearly 500+-acre working farm with diverse crop and livestock operations, farrow-to-finish swine education center, a 300-head beef complex offering real-world livestock management training, sports turf labs, a Precision Agriculture learning center, and 6,000 square feet of greenhouse space. Our programs also manage a 245-acre native prairie supporting conservation and sustainability education as well as a 700-acre outdoor learning laboratory providing hands-on experience. Whether your focus is animal and crop production, wildlife management, horticulture, small animal health, farm management, or ag technology, we’ll get you on the right track to a great career.

12-week non-credit program
As a pet grooming student, you learn to groom and maintain the appearance of pets, usually dogs. Grooming includes brushing and cutting the pet's hair, trimming toenails, bathing the pet, and cleaning its ears.
