Title: Career Services Coach
Email: lexi.fields@kirkwood.edu
Office: 3028 Iowa Hall
Education: B.A. Art; Saint Joseph's College
M.A. Criminal Justice; Mount Mercy University
Bio: Lexi came to Kirkwood in 2017 with a background in career coaching at Saint Joseph’s College.  Like many people, when preparing for college she struggled to choose a major and decide on a career path.  She changed majors several times before earning degrees in Art and Criminal Justice, but she often advises students that your major does not have to define your career.  Her work as a career coach and educator serves as proof!  She is passionate about de-mystifying the career exploration process and helping people navigate their lifelong professional development journey.  Her one-on-one career coaching sessions support career development at any level.  Common topics include choosing a college major, exploring different occupations, creating résumés/cover letters, preparing for interviews, planning a job search strategy, and more.  You may see her in Kirkwood’s classrooms as a guest speaker on career-related topics and as an instructor for courses in career development and college success.
