Participants must be 18 years or older and be currently employed in a maintenance technician role or similar to participate in the program.

Precision Skills 2 Overview

This training program uses curriculum from the Skills 2 module from Hendrix Precision Maintenance. Students will participate in four days of hands-on lab work and classroom instruction to hone their skills, totalling up to 40 hours. Led by veteran industry maintenance professionals with years of real-world plan experience, this program features a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure more individualized attention and guidance.

Note: You do not need to have taken a Skills 1 training in order to benefit from this course.

Skills 2: Bearing Installation & Maintenance for Longer Equipment Life

Covers all the correct tools and methods for mounting, dismounting, and lubrication of bearings using typical sized shafts, housings, as well as bearings for demonstration and purpose. We cover all of the most common types of bearings found in paper mills, steel mills, chemical plants, steam and power plants, and other industries. We will demonstrate the proper way to perform each task without sacrificing speed and show the results when incorrect methods are used.
