Scholarship Deadlines

Tama Soil and Water Conservation District College Scholarship

The mission of the Tama Soil and Water Conservation District is to provide to all citizens technical, financial and educational services for the conservation and wise use of all natural resources within Tama County. The organization is providing a $1,000 scholarship to a currently enrolled student at a two or four-year college for the 2026-'27 academic year, who is enrolled in a field of conservation or agriculture and has a permanent address located within Tama County or is a Tama County native. Applications must be submitted by June 26.

Professional Women's Network (PWN) Scholarship

Founded in 1979, the Professional Women’s Network (PWN) sought to improve the upward mobility of women in the professional and business world. To further promote the Professional Women’s Network’s mission of “women helping women” the PWN Scholarship Foundation will award up to five (5) scholarships of approximately $1,000 for the non-traditional students. Students must be a resident of Iowa, be female, be attending classes for the 2026-2027 school year, be working towards a vocational certification, associate's degree, or first bachelor's degree. Turbo Charitable Foundation Scholarship

Since 2011, the Turbo Charitable Foundation has supported students from low-income families as they pursue higher education. 

The program awards $2,000 scholarship grants to selected recipients, giving students financial support they can apply toward tuition and qualified academic expenses. To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time, have a 2.0 GPA, have an annual family income of less than $90,000, and must be a child of a foodservice industry partner OR be personally employed by a foodservice industry partner.

CAPTRUST Scholarship

CAPTRUST has a nationwide team of advisors who offer a wide range of financial services for clients, from private investors to retirement plan sponsors to nonprofit organizations. They believe that empowering and preparing the next generation of professionals is critical for the economic vitality of our communities. CAPTRUST will select five students across the country to receive $2,000 each. In order to be considered for the CAPTRUST scholarship, students must submit an essay response for each of four categories. Responses must be 200 words or less, with a maximum of 800 words per submission.

PEO Program for Continuing Education

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE) was established in 1973 to provide need-based grants to women in the U.S. and Canada whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that will improve their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families. If you are interested in the PCE grant but do not know a P.E.O. member, fill out the PCE Potential Applicant form. Completing this form does not guarantee recommendation for a grant. Please complete this form in its entirety at least four months prior to the term for which you desire sponsorship for a grant.
