Festival Latino Scholarships
Any student from a Hispanic/Latino background attending a high school in Iowa who will be attending college or trade school after graduation is eligible to apply. Currently enrolled college students pursuing a degree at a two or four-year accredited college/university are also eligible. Students must be attending high school, trade school, or college in the State of Iowa. View eligibility and fill out an application by August 28.
Frank & Lois Beatty Memorial Scholarship
Sarah Beatty was a lifelong resident of Keokuk County who graduated from Sigourney High School and the University of Iowa. She enjoyed learning throughout her life and was a proud supporter of further education in her community. As a memorial to her beloved parents, Sarah created the Frank & Lois Beatty Memorial Scholarship to support students from Keokuk County. The amount of the scholarship may vary from year to year, but each scholarship is expected to be greater than $1,000.
To be eligible, an applicant must be a resident of Keokuk County, be a United States citizen, demonstrate scholastic achievement, and plan to attend either a community college or a college to continue their education. Students of any age are encouraged to apply. Applications can be downloaded here and must be submitted by October 15.
CAPTRUST Scholarship
CAPTRUST has a nationwide team of advisors who offer a wide range of financial services for clients, from private investors to retirement plan sponsors to nonprofit organizations. They believe that empowering and preparing the next generation of professionals is critical for the economic vitality of our communities. CAPTRUST will select five students across the country to receive $2,000 each. In order to be considered for the CAPTRUST scholarship, students must submit an essay response for each of four categories. Responses must be 200 words or less, with a maximum of 800 words per submission.

PEO Program for Continuing Education
The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE) was established in 1973 to provide need-based grants to women in the U.S. and Canada whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that will improve their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families. If you are interested in the PCE grant but do not know a P.E.O. member, fill out the PCE Potential Applicant form. Completing this form does not guarantee recommendation for a grant. Please complete this form in its entirety at least four months prior to the term for which you desire sponsorship for a grant. For questions, contact:
