Students learn pre-hospital emergency care skills such as maintaining an airway to assist patient’s breathing, safely transferring and positioning patients, and  safely removing a trapped patient from a vehicle.

Students are required to have the following vaccinations to be eligible for clinical experience: Hepatitis B vaccination series, MMR, TDAP, Varicella, seasonal Influenza, and a two-step or annual TB test.
