Kirkwood Community College is committed to hazing prevention through campus-wide programs targeting students, staff, and faculty. These programs include training on hazing awareness for students, organization leaders, and advisors, and encouraging a welcoming and culture. The Dean of Students Office collaborates with the Office of Student Life to ensure training and compliance with the law.
Concerns of hazing can be reported using the reporting form below. Please complete the form sharing as many known details as possible to ensure the Dean of Students Office is able to conduct a thorough investigation. All allegations of hazing will be addressed in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures outlined in the Hazing Procedure.
In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the Dean of Students Office will maintain and publish a Hazing Transparency Report twice annually. This report will include a summary of substantiated hazing incidents, involved organizations, and student disciplinary findings and outcomes while adhering to applicable privacy laws.
Hazing is prohibited under college policy and Iowa law.
