Help us achieve our 2014 goal of $28,800.  Once we hit that goal, we will have raised more than $100,000 in our short four-year history.  The BIG EVENT will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Kirkwood Community College

Kirkwood’s Dance Marathon group is part of the Cedar Rapids Dance Marathon.  It is a student-run organization that provides year-round support to pediatric patients and their families.  Kirkwood students join forces with Coe College and Mt. Mercy University for this annual event that provides emotional and financial support for pediatric patients and their families treated at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
The 2011 event was the first time that multiple colleges have ever combined to form a Dance Marathon and after a successful first year, it was named the best new Dance Marathon in the country. The 12 hour event held sometime in March/April includes dancing, a DJ, free food, and many forms of entertainment. In just three years, the event has raised more than $71,000 for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. With an increase in student involvement from Kirkwood, we hope to continue with the growth of this outstanding event in our community.
