Scholarship opportunities from Kirkwood are available for veterans of all branches of the military. We also have opportunities for military spouses and other dependents and family members.
Must be a U.S. veteran, or spouse or child of a veteran who earned the Purple Heart, or who experienced significant difficulty after serving. Must have a minimum 2.75 grade point average.
Must be in the top 10 percent academically of the veterans who attend Kirkwood. Must demonstrate financial need.
Must be a United States veteran who has served active duty in a combat zone. Must have a DD214 on file with Kirkwood’s Veteran Affairs. Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Must demonstrate financial need.
Established by the Veteran’s Committee of Cedar Rapids at General Mills. Preference to those who have a DD214 on file with Kirkwood and an honorable discharge. Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Must demonstrate financial need.
Must be a U.S. veteran, spouse of or dependent child of a U.S. veteran. Must demonstrate financial need.
