Why should you join one of Kirkwood’s special-interest student clubs? Students actively involved and engaged with clubs and activities on campus actually perform better academically. Plus, involvement in clubs related to your interest area helps you round out your education. Below are clubs specifically related to students interested in journalism.

The Communiqué is a bi-weekly publication. Students may apply for the following positions on staff: writer, photographer, graphic artist, news editor, opinion editor, feature editor, A&E editor, sports editor, social media editor, web editor, copy editor, photo editor, layout editor, distribution manager and managing editor. No previous experience is necessary.
