At the program conference, you will be given information about the Welding program and the career. You will also be informed of any additional admission requirements. This is your opportunity to have your questions answered by a faculty member teaching in your program.
Before attending a program conference, you must complete these two steps:
1) You must have applied to Kirkwood within the last year and you must have Welding listed as your major. If you have not taken this step, we will not be able to accept you into the program. If you are a current Kirkwood student and Welding is not currently your major, you will need to change it at www.kirkwood.edu/majorchange .
Upon completing the program conference, you will be either accepted into the program or added to a waitlist. Our programs fill up on a first come first served basis. At the program conference your Compass (or ACT) placement test results will be discussed and you will be informed of any prerequisite courses you would need to take prior to beginning the program.
Program conferences generally last only one hour, and will be held on the dates listed below. To register, fill out and submit the following form. There is no charge for the program conference.
Please write down when your program conference will be. Once you have submitted the form, you will not receive a confirmation message.
