Gear up for an exciting career in advanced manufacturing, a high-demand field that includes product design, CNC machining and forming, production welding, and quality control.
Hands-on learning starts with the latest equipment and robot technology, including six heavy-payload robots and three robotic weld cells that you’ll learn to program and operate. Your instructors are passionate about the industry and work with industry partners to make sure they’re teaching the latest techniques on cutting-edge equipment.
You’ll also develop skills in several different disciplines, including robotics programming and integration, welding, CNC machining and programming, fabrication, and engineering. This multi-skilled two-year AAS degree will have you job-ready when you graduate, and graduates can also go on to complete a four-year degree at UNI.
Kirkwood offers more than $3 million in scholarships for students each year.
Students in this program may be eligible to have half their tuition paid for by the Kibbie Grant.
In just two years, you’ll develop the technical skills you’ll need for a wide range of industrial careers. By the time you earn your degree, you’ll know how to:
A one-hour program conference is required prior to acceptance to the program. You'll learn more about the program, specific admissions requirements and have the opportunity to have questions answered by program faculty and staff.
Due to the coronavirus, program conferences will be completed via email, phone, or Zoom meetings.
To get into the Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Technologies program, you must complete the following, in addition to Kirkwood’s steps to become a student:
