“I was tired of struggling. I wanted off government assistance and to make a better life for my kids. I heard about KPACE on the radio and liked the sound of going to school for free. I went to an information session and met Kelly. She motivated me to get my high school diploma and learn new skills with short-term training. My books, fees, and school supplies were all paid for. I even got gas money so I could get to class. They helped me with my resume and practiced interviewing. When I landed a job I was so proud of myself! As a CNA I’ve doubled my salary, have insurance and retirement benefits. But mostly, I’m setting a good example for my family. One day I’ll get my two-year degree in nursing. When I do, I know Kelly and my teachers will do all they can to help me.” – Raquel, KPACE student
