Bio: Chris King is a double-certified coach and talent development professional. He currently leads the Kirkwood Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and oversees staff and faculty development for all employees. Chris is a pioneer in the field of human potential development and well-known for his innovative use of strengths-based development, emotional intelligence, neuroscience, biofeedback, positive psychology, embodied leadership, and presence-based coaching. Chris is a native Iowan and currently resides in Iowa City. His hobbies include listening to podcasts, exercise, organic gardening, and spending time outdoors.

 

Eva Spiekermeier

Bio: As the department assistant for KCELT, Eva creates training courses and sections in Colleague, manages training attendance records, assists with department scheduling, and collaborates with and assists KCELT facilitators and students as needed. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2014 with a B.A. in art education. After college, Eva worked for five years in the health care industry, but missed the education world and is thrilled to now work for Kirkwood.

Bio: Wilson gained his teaching experience teaching English in Chile, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in education and English teacher license. Then he decided to challenge himself and obtained an M.A in instructional technology at the University of Northern Iowa. Now at KCELT, he facilitates trainings for faculty and staff. Outside of work he likes to spend time with his family, watch soccer, and build things around the house.
