The following sites have been gleaned from the Internet as potentially useful for teaching college-level courses. Usually they are either websites set up by colleges or universities, or they are websites for professional organizations.

of Minnesota
UM has an extensive site for Writing across the Curriculum
including examples of assignments. You will need to scroll
thorugh the site (very easily accomplished) to find the
particular areas of interest including "Handling the Paper
Load" and "Examples."
Writing Across the Curriculum - Secondary
Although this is a compilation of articles from ERIC (Educational
Resources and Index Clearinghouse) on Writing across the
Curriculum for secondary teachers, it includes some discipline
specific books and articles adaptable to Kirkwood students, and
additional weblinks and a bibliography. It allows viewing of
sample assignments.
Writing across the Curriculum
ERIC list of books, each with a free example of
a writing exercise. Most of the books are intended for secondary
school teachers.

ACROSS THE CURRICULUM
Eastern Illinois University's WAC page. This includes an
extensive bibliography separated by discipline.

Northern Illinois University's linked clearing house of Writing
across the Curriculum Programs including specific discipline
connections.
Writing Across the Curriculum Program
this University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Center for
Writing Studies has a section entitle Workshop materials which
can help visualize the possibilities for developing writing
assignments to fit your course objectives.
Building Writing into the texture of your class
this is a different page inside the Northern Illinois University
page, but this focuses on considerations for writing assignments
in particular.
