What is Student Senate?

Student Senate is a group on campus made up of representatives of all of the other clubs, organizations, and teams on campus. A member of each group on campus can serve on the Student Senate representing the Kirkwood student body, as well as of all of the different clubs/groups at Kirkwood.

What does Student Senate do?

-Attend a leadership conference
-Plan the Annual Awards Banquet
-Lobby at the State Capital in Des Moines
-Take a trip to Washington D.C. with the Kirkwood Board of Trustees
-Give the commencement speech at Kirkwood’s Graduation
