The Kirkwood Eagles Softball program is one of the most elite in NJCAA Division II. In 2001 the Eagles set a team record 45 wins. The 2008 team was also selected as a Top 10 Academic All-American team. The Eagles were Region XI Champions in 1980-83, 1985, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2006-2007. In 2009 the Eagles finished the regular season ranked 6th in the country. The team also had 3 All American and 4 Academic All Americans.
