Cedar Valley Contractors Safety Council
CVCSC is a partnership among Alliant Energy, American Profol, Cargill Corn Milling, International Paper (Cedar River Mill), the City of Cedar Rapids Water Department, Diamond V Mills, Genencor International, the City of Iowa City Water Department, Kraft Foods, Monsanto, Quality Chef, Rockwell Collins, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and Kirkwood as well as 170 other companies throughout eastern Iowa.
Before performing work in any of the partners’ facilities, a contract employee may be required to successfully complete the OSHA Basic Safety Awareness course in addition to the site-specific course for the facility in which they will be working. Upon satisfactory completion, the contract employee will be issued an approved photo ID badge (valid for one year unless otherwise noted) that must be presented anytime he or she enters a participating facility’s gate.

FeesThe matter of fees and costs related to this contractor safety training/orientation process in the Cedar Valley Contractors Safety Council is between the contractor or the contractor employee and the Training Center. Fees are as follows:
TRAINING CENTER RULESAll students must read and understand the following rules. The Training Center is considered an extension of the work place and policy violations will not be tolerated.
