Listed below are our notes for website manager modifications, based largely on user feedback, suggestions, and feature requests. A number of the items below refer to more technical, back-end things that make sense to us but won't mean anything to users of website manager. The website manager development process is driven by these requests and suggestions, so please don't hesitate to send us any and all thoughts you have! Currently a beta editor is being worked on the items in light blue will be included in this process.  The items in yellow have been fixed.

Navigation

  • clean URL/redirect - anything left to do (note admin side below)

Form Builder

  • Rewrite form builder
  • Required fields dialog
  • Duplicate checking
  • Enlarge the space between the field name and the text box

Form Data Management

  •     edit data on the "view form data" page

Metadata

  • update reminder emails (rules written by user)
  • check for ada/508/bobby/ compliance
  • spellchecker

Administration

  • dialog to add/edit/delete clean URL/redirects.
  • Homepage news articles

Misc

  • let the user change title text for "news", etc
  • Let faculty and misc sites add background colors and images
  • rss feed for news
  • interface to easily add/edit/delete header/footer (for faculty and misc sites)
  • integrate 'password protect' with ldap
  • switch to ldap login
  • Create a Calendar - this is in Beta
  • Give user right just to update the Calendar
  • increase the timeout or provide a warning to remind the user to save
  • add metadata and css styles to each page and for the entire site
  • allow the user to create folders for the uploaded files
  • When you are working on pages in a folder - when you save the page could it go back to the folder? Now, as far as I can see, you always go back to the main pages menu and then have to choose the folder again.
