The employer comes to campus and gives a 15 presentation regarding their organization, and what they do as an organization to students from a specific program here at Kirkwood that they want to target. I will work directly with the Program Coordinator to assist with recruiting the students for this event. We ask that the employer bring along 6-7 employees or representatives from their organization and possibly a specific department. After the 15-minute presentation the representatives will sit at a table with 5-7 of our students from the program. This is a great opportunity, while eating lunch, for the students to have informal conversations regarding how they started to work for the organization, what they like about working for the organization, what are some of their daily responsibilities, and so on. This is such a great event for both our students and the employer in helping make direct connections. We do ask that the employer provide the lunch for this event. They will work with Kirkwood’s Café, and has cost the employers anywhere between $200-$250. It varies depending on the number of attendees.
