Program Mission Statement
The Agricultural Geospatial Technology program prepares students by developing skills in problem solving and decision making. Students learn how technology is utilized through the process of collecting, analyzing and interpreting production data.

Program Student Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Agricultural Geospatial Technology program will be able to:

  1. Use and apply geospatial tools including GPS, GIS, remote sensing and IDI in agriculture, natural resources and environmental systems.
  2. Solve problems using critical thinking and troubleshooting skills individually or in a team environment.
  3. Communicate and work with potentially diverse groups of workers and colleagues in a professional manner.
  4. Demonstrate basic use and safe operation of farm equipment.
  5. Complete processes of precision farming as a management system, including data collection, analysis, and interpretative products.
  6. Explore new technologies and apply them to current production issues.
