KCELT is about people. We want you to engage in our different activities, discover new, exciting ways to promote learning in your classroom, and connect with your peers.

"To increase use and understanding of research informed practices, instructional design, and The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning through faculty and Dean partnerships".

"To collaborate with faculty to invent, develop, and deliver 21st century learning solutions".

To achieve our mission and vision statements, KCELT offers four core services:

  • Learning Events: institutes, initiatives, session offerings.
  • Consultations: one-on-one meetings with one of our staff.
  • Instructional Coaching: a longterm relationship focused on improving student learning.
  • Curriculum Design Support: aligning learning outcomes, assessment methods, and teaching and learning activities.
Our learning events are currently made public via Tempo and will also be announced through our new, interactive website.

We are here to support you and your students, so feel free to contact us to make an appointment for an individual consultation with one of our Instructional Designers or the Faculty Development Specialist. A few of our staff are trained in instructional coaching and would be happy to have a long term relationship with faculty focused on improving student learning outcomes.

Through these four core services we are able to assist you in the formative process of curriculum design, at the course and/or program level. Contact us if you would like more information or to make an appointment: kcelt@kirkwood.edu
