Why did you choose to pursue your education at Kirkwood?
I chose Kirkwood because the CNC Machining program is well respected, the placement post-high school is high, and the tuition is very reasonable. I needed a challenge in my life, and I needed to feel a greater sense of accomplishment related to my education. Kirkwood is giving me exactly what I was looking for.
What are your educational or career plans for after graduation
My plan after graduation is to find a job working for a company where I can get experience in programming and robotics. I have aspirations to work for a company that requires a high level of expertise.
From a personal and financial standpoint, describe the impact your scholarship has on your education.
From a personal standpoint, the scholarship I received gives me an added incentive to do right by the contributors. I am doing this for myself, but someone else is giving me support and that adds energy to the input of my education. Financially speaking, by having this scholarship, my post-education debt is reduced which also reduces my stress over the size of those loans. The level of appreciation I feel is immense. The contributors of any scholarships given to students are amazing. Anybody receiving them should feel a deep level of gratitude.
