As the Department Assistant for KCELT I create training courses and sections in Colleague, manage training attendance records, assist with department scheduling, and collaborate with and assist KCELT facilitators and students as needed. I’m always happy to help!
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2014 with my B.A. in Art Education. After college I worked for 5 years in the healthcare industry, but I missed the education world. I am thrilled to be working for Kirkwood and I look forward to using my talents and passions to serve the college.
I gained my teaching experience teaching English in Chile, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Education and English teacher license. Then I decided to challenge myself and obtained my M.A in Instructional Technology at the University of Northern Iowa. Here at KCELT, I facilitate trainings for faculty and staff. Outside of work I like to spend time with my family, watch soccer, and build things around the house.
