I forgot my username / password and I am unable to login to the system. How can I retrieve them?
Click here to have your username and password emailed to you, or use the Forgot Password link on the login page.
I’ve submitted the request to re-set my password but I never received the email. What do I do now?
If it has been over an hour since you requested your login information and you still have not received a response, send an email to email@example.com with your name and the position you applied for.
How do I finish an incomplete application?
If the position is still open, log into the system and click the name of the position you would like to complete.
Can I save the application and complete it later?
Yes. Be sure to click the “Save and Continue” button at the bottom of the page you are working on to save your information before you log out of the system. You may login to complete your application for employment at any time as long as the position is still open. If we close the position before you return to complete the application, you will not be able to complete your application.
Can I cancel the application?
Prior to completing the application you may cancel by clicking “Cancel this Application” at the top of the Application form. If you have already submitted the application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the position you wish to withdraw from. HR will make a note that you would no longer like to be considered for the position; however, your application will remain on file.
I’ve submitted my application and received an email but I cannot go back in to make sure it was submitted. How do I know it was submitted?
If you received an email, this is the confirmation that your application was submitted. There is not a way to log back into the system to see what jobs you’ve submitted an application for.
I’ve submitted an application and now would like to go back into my application to change something or attach documents (resume, cover letter, transcripts). How do I do that?
Once you submit your application, you will NOT be able to go back in and attach supporting documentation; therefore, you should have your cover letter, resume and unofficial transcript (faculty only) saved to your computer and ready to attach BEFORE you start the application.
I’m having trouble attaching transcripts or other attachments to my application. Can I just send them to you?
No. If the position you are applying for requires a resume to be attached, you must attach an electronic copy before your application can be marked complete. If you are applying for a faculty position, an unofficial copy of your transcripts is required as well. Any of the following formats is acceptable: Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx), Adobe PDF (.pdf), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Corel Word Perfect (.wpd), Microsoft Works (.wps), HTML (.html / .htm), Text (.txt), Image File (.jpg / .gif / .png). Please have your documents in one of these formats before starting the application process.
I have applied to a position before on the Kirkwood employment site, so if I want to apply for another position, do I have to complete a new application or is my information saved?
Your personal information, employment history and references are all saved as part of the application for employment process. Your resume and information specific to the position you are applying will need to be completed and/or attached each time you apply.
How do I see what I’ve submitted on the application so I can use that information in another application?
You will be able to print your application at the end of the process.
How do I see what positions I’ve applied for?
We do not provide a list of positions that you have applied for. If you would like, maintain a list for your own records.
How do I log into my profile?
You may login here http://www.kirkwood.edu/hr2 to complete any unfinished applications. To start a new application for employment, please visit the Employment Opportunities page for a list of open positions.
Can I email you my attachments so you can attach them to my submitted application?
No, please have your supporting documents in electronic format before starting the application.
Can you delete an attachment and re-attach a new one for me?
No. Once your application is submitted it is a permanent, unchangeable record in the system.
I saw the posting online yesterday but it’s not there today. Is it still open?
If the position is no longer posted on the website, the hiring committee has selected candidates to interview and is no longer accepting new applications.
I applied for a position but never heard back. Can you tell me where they’re at in the process?
If the position is no longer posted on the website, the hiring committee has selected candidates to interview and is no longer accepting new applications. If you are selected for an interview, you will receive a call from the hiring committee.
Can I complete the application via an iPhone or iPad?
We do our best to make the application compatible with these devices but you may encounter issues attaching your supporting documentation. If this is the case, please use a modern desktop browser (IE 7+, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) to complete your application.
