Academic Advising Get academic planning, transfer information, course selection and general registration assistance. Students planning to transfer to another educational institution should meet with their academic advisor before beginning the transfer process.
Clubs & Organizations At the Iowa City Campus students have the opportunity to be active in a variety of organizations. Some of these groups exist to enhance student learning, others help to build leadership skills and some are just for fun. Students who get involved forge new relationships, create an enhanced college experience and just have more fun.
Counseling Get free assistance and counseling for academic and personal concerns. Services include personal counseling, student advocacy, career and educational planning, course and curriculum information, and a resource library.
EagleCard You can pick up your official Kirkwood Community College ID at the information desk. The card gets you into the library, computer labs, the recreation center, various Kirkwood events and more. It can also be used as a debit card for purchases both on and off-campus. Optional meal plans are also available.
Financial Aid The Financial Aid office helps eligible students navigate the financial aid options that make affording college a reality. Financial aid is based on individual need. Aside from loan programs, other sources of aid include grants, scholarships and work-study programs. Stop by the information desk for more information.
Housing Kirkwood doesn't own any dorms or apartments, but we can help you find nearby campus housing.
Student Success Seminars Preparation for college, both mentally and academically, is key to being a successful student. Kirkwood offers courses in preparatory reading, writing and math to develop and ready your skills and enhance your academic success.
Student Life Find out whats happening on campus and get involved in social clubs and activities. Join one of the clubs and organizations we have right here on the Iowa City Campus. We plan fun events and enrichment programs throughout the year.
Tutoring Tutoring services are offered free to any Kirkwood student enrolled in credit classes for which tutoring is sought. Students may receive tutoring for two different classes each semester, for up to two hours per week for each class.
