As a faculty member in the Hospitality Arts department, Ms. Rhiner has taught a variety of courses over her 25+ year tenure. She is responsible for teaching classes in nutrition, menu planning and cost control. She schedules students for clinical hours with the professional staff at the hotel. She is very interested in international travel and over the years has led hospitality student study tours to Italy, Japan and Jamaica. She also serves as a host family to international students in business and agriculture.
Ms. Rhiner currently serves as a professional development fellow at The Kirkwood Center for Learning and Teaching (KCELT) and assists in training new faculty members at Kirkwood. Ms. Rhiner has a BS and MA degree related to food, nutrition and education.
