The Cedar County Learning Center offers GED preparation, high school courses and upgrading of skills. Instruction is available at the center during the following hours:

  • Tuesdays: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • GED testing, by appointment only

Kirkwood Adult High School Program
This diploma is earned through a combination of previous high school credits, work experience credits and high school courses available through Kirkwood Learning Centers. There are many courses from which to choose. Upon successful completion of the requirements of the program, a Kirkwood Adult High School Diploma is awarded. The General Educational Development (GED) Program
This diploma is available to students, 18 and over, who successfully complete a battery of five tests consisting of writing skills, social studies, science, interpreting Literature and the Arts and mathematics. GED pre-tests are available to help predict performance on the actual GED tests. A $100 fee covers the cost of testing and the issuance of a diploma from the State of
