Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are an essential part of the Admissions and Student Life teams. This select group of students volunteer their time and are campus role models, leaders and positive representatives for Kirkwood. Often, they are the first people prospective Kirkwood students and their parents meet.

What do they do? Student Ambassadors meet with prospective students and parents during TGIF Campus Visit Days. By sharing their own college experiences and giving fun campus tours, they get students and parents excited about a future at Kirkwood! Student Ambassadors will also be called upon to help with additional group visits and other events on campus such as College and Career Fairs.

When do they meet? Meetings are held during activity hour on Thursdays. Our TGIF Campus Visit Days are typically held on Fridays throughout the academic year. We will organize different team-building experiences as well to bring about a dynamic Student Ambassador group. We also plan fun events as a group including hockey games, bowling, game nights and more!

What's in it for me? There are tons of perks! Student Ambassadors network with staff, faculty, new students and parents; plus they get many leadership opportunities. Being an Ambassador will help your communication skills both personally and professionally. Above all else, it's a great way to get involved, meet new friends and have fun!

How do I get started? The first step to becoming a Kirkwood Student Ambassador is to attend our Fall Kick-off Party! This is a fun informational session for any student who is interested in joining the group. To learn more about this event click on the link below!
