Completing these 48 credits above allows students to graduate with a
Practical Nursing diploma. Students are now eligible to take NCLEX-PN boards.
Students who wish to complete the Associate Degree Nursing program need to take
the additional classes listed under semesters three to five.

+ Students beginning the Nursing technical and clincial portion of the program are required to complete CNA training as a prerequisite. Students may obtain CNA training through Kirkwood Continuing Education. Students must be on the Iowa Direct Care Worker registry. Go to www.kirkwood.edu/ce for more information.

**Completion of courses with a minimum of a C- required prior to acceptance.

#Successful completion of the TEAS is required prior to registration. Completion of courses with a minimum of a B- required before admission to the program.

NOTE: Minimum of B- required in all PNN and ADN technical and clinical courses.
