Dear Student,

Enclosed is some important information about how, when and where to register for one of our Career Options programs for the spring 2010 semester.

All Career Options students MUST attend an advising session to register for spring classes. Please go onlineat www.kirkwood.edu/careeropadvisingand select your program for a list of advising dates and register so we can reserve a place for you. Advising for new students is held in December for Spring term and April thru July for Summer and Fall term registrations. Each Kirkwood student is given an Identification Number. This number is authentic to you and you only. It is extremely important that you keep this number in a safe and accessible place. You will use it throughout your time at Kirkwood to access the many resources available to you. Your Kirkwood ID number is K000000. Please make sure to have your Kirkwood ID number and test scores handy when you attend an advising session.

Kirkwood communicates through the contact information that you currently have on file. We encourage you to use your KCC email address as your primary address. Please make sure that you have your most current information on file. (address, phone #, email)

Students will be required to submit ACT scores or Kirkwood placement test scores (COMPASS) prior to the time of registration. The Test Center is located at 2055 Cedar Hall (2nd Floor.) Allow two hours for testing. Photo identification is required. Testing does not need to be scheduled in advance, just walk in.

If you have transfer credits, bring an unofficial copy of your transcripts to the meeting.

Before your advising session establish your EagleNet password use the link on the career options website.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the advising sessions.
