Johnson County Public Health plans to hold weekly H1N1 Vaccine Clinics at the Johnson County Health and Human Services Building, located at 855 S Dubuque Street, to serve the priority groups identified below:

These clinics will be held every Wednesday between the hours of 1:00 to 3:00 pm, and 5:00 - 7:00 pm by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call (319) 356-6038.

Dear seasonal flu vaccine customer,

Flu vaccine shortages are unfortunate and something we have endured in years past. This year has been particularly unusual and difficult because of the emergence of H1N1.

I wanted to take this opportunity to inform our seasonal flu vaccine customers of an issue facing St. Luke’s Work Well Solutions. At this time, I have been informed that we will not receive any of our seasonal flu vaccine order. The manufacturer we purchased our vaccine from has totally moved their production over to H1N1 vaccine production, and therefore has shipped all of the seasonal flu vaccine it plans to ship.

We have exhausted all possible procurement strategies and are currently unable to obtain vaccine from other markets. Unfortunately this means we will be unable to provide seasonal flu vaccination programs to our customers this year. Please understand we are very aware of the issues vaccine shortages cause and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Additionally, the government is purchasing 100% of the H1N1 vaccine and we do not anticipate having any of that vaccine to provide to customers. The Iowa Department of Public Health is responsible for distributing the H1N1 vaccine.
