Arbe teaches Drawing, Painting, Encounters in Humanities and Art Appreciation. He focuses on classical and contemporary drawing/painting techniques in his courses and feels that any person can learn how to draw/paint if given the necessary techniques and critical thinking skills. He has exhibited nationally and internationally.

Helen teaches Photography, Photography II and Advanced Black and White Photography. Her main focus is on the tools of photography, including non-silver, traditional silver and digital/inkjet. Helen is interested in documentary photography and development of thematic work.

Doug teaches Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and Art Appreciation. While at the University of Iowa, he held a teaching assistantship under Professor Mauricio Lasansky. Doug majored in Printmaking with a minor in Drawing. Doug has a home studio where he does large and outrageous paintings and drawings.

Joe teaches Art Appreciation, Digital Photography and Encounters in Humanities. His research investigates the cross-pollination of disciplines. He especially enjoys teaching students basic color theory. Joe's digital media work has been exhibited at the Des Moines Art Center and the Eve Gallery in Seoul, South Korea.

Conifer teaches Ceramics and Glass. A professional ceramic artist for more than twenty years, Conifer produces functional pottery as well as sculptural work in ceramics, metal and glass. At Kirkwood, she has built a hot glass shop as well as a Japanese style wood fired kiln.

Rahat teaches Drawing/Figure Drawing and Painting. He is a professional artist in a wide array of artistic mediums. He spent 14 years learning European classical and contemporary art, and is eager to share his skills with other young artists.

Bob Naujoks taught art for 30 years at Mount Mercy College (drawing, design, graphic design, typography, sculpture, photography and watercolor). His art reflects his interest in jazz music and spiritual subjects using watercolor, pen & ink, and Prismacolor pencils. He hosts several jazz programs on KCCK-88.3, the Kirkwood radio station.
