Kirkwood's Ripperger and Rosien both recoginized as Academic All-Americans

Beth Ripperger was named to the NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American Volleyball Team.

Ripperger was recognized as the ICCAC Scholar Player of the Week for volleyball after the first week of the season and was instramental in helping lead the Eagles to a 34-15 season record.  An All-ICCAC Academic selection as a freshman and sophomore, Ripperger maintains a 3.80 grade-point average as a liberal arts major.  As a sophomore this season, she averaged 3.61 digs as the libero. She was also named to the ICCAC honorable mention team.

Beth is the daughter of Barb Stull and Doug Ripperger, both of Knoxville, IA. She will transfer to Mt. Mercy College where she will continue playing volleyball and will major in psychology.

Janae Rosien was recognized as an NJCAA Academic All-American. 

She was also an All-ICCAC Academic selection.  Janae was part of running the successful 6-2 offense that lead the team to a regional championship match, finishing as the Region XIb runner's up in 2008.  She maintains a 3.7 grade-point average as a liberal arts major.   

Janae is the daughter of Janine Rosien and Joe Rosien, both of Washington, IA.  She plans to transfer to Mt. Mercy College to continue playing volleyball and will major in business.
