Training Documentation
Classes Offered:
KIN Basics: Are you ready to collaborate and communicate on KIN, the Kirkwood Information Network? In this overview, you will learn how to open your Active Campus Portal and become familiar with the KIN environment. Set your credentials to use webmail and locate links to EagleNet, Colleague, and other campus information that you will now have in one spot! Setup instructions will be reviewed so you will be able to use KIN from your desktop. A demonstration will be given of the possible tools that your department might use, as well as step-by-step instructions on what information you can add to KIN as a member.
KIN Advanced: The advanced class will be designed for the POC in each department. Point of contacts will create and manage their team (department) site, post announcements, maintain discussions and site permissions.
Open Lab: By now you have already experienced Kirkwood Information Network (KIN), but if you need time to get away from your desk and ask some questions, or explore the environment, come to an open lab where there will be trainers available to help you. This will be open to all POCs (Point of Contacts) as well as members. Prerequisite: KIN Basics.
