Replacement Unit Option

Do you have students who have failed a course, but really only failed portions of a course? Now, students do not have to make up the entire course, but only need to replace the failed units with passing units.

Kirkwood HSDL is pleased to announce a replacement unit option within its online course offerings. We will work with your district to align our online course with your school’s course. After a review of course syllabi, your school district selects the necessary units from our online course. The student then retakes the corresponding units to fulfill the course requirements, and after successful completion, Kirkwood HSDL will report the student’s scores on the replacement units to the local school, who will then recalculate the student’s grade.

The cost of our replacement unit option is $150 per semester course, regardless of the number of units needed. Select English courses also require a $60 textbook deposit. Students using the replacement unit option will have access to a highly-qualified, Iowa certified instructor via email for help with their course. Students will also have 4 months to complete their replacement units.
