SLAM DUNK CONTEST

Slam dunk contest will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9th starting at 3pm.  It will be held at the outdoor basketball court located next to the baseball field.

Registration Opens: August 19th - You may register online or fill out an entry form at the Rec Center.

Registration Closes: September 2nd

Description: Kirkwood's first ever Slam Dunk Competition.  Bring your most creative and stylish dunks with you to see how you stack up against the rest of the competition.

Hoop Height Divisions:  There will be 2 separate divisions to compete in regarding the height of the basketball hoop: 9 feet and 8.5 feet.  A participant may only compete in one division.  Participant who are at least 6 feet tall or more must play in the 9 foot division.  Anyone under 6 feet tall may participate in the 8.5 feet division.

Judging: A panel of 3 to 5 judges will rate each dunk on a scale of 1-10.  Participants with the highest scores will continue to move through to the next round until a winner is declared.

Winners: Winners of the contest will receive a Kirkwood Intramural Champion T-shirt!

Eligibility: You must be a current Kirkwood student, faculty, or staff in order to participate in the intramural programs.

Contest Date: Wednesday, September 9th between 3pm-7pm

Playing Location: Outdoor basketball courts located by the baseball field.
