MICROSOFT HOME USE PROGRAM
Employees of Kirkwood Community College are eligible to use the Microsoft® Home Use Program (HUP).
The Home Use Program helps to increase employee productivity and maximize the value of Kirkwood's Microsoft Office System investment by enabling employees to work from home. The Home Use Program provides eligible employees a licensed copy of Microsoft Office desktop PC applications to install and use on a home computer.
The Microsoft Home Use Program includes the following platform of products:
- Microsoft Office Enterprise for PC
- Microsoft Office for Mac
Note: Operating systems are NOT included in the Home Use Program.
Procedures to Request Microsoft Office Products to Install on Home Computers:
- Complete a SchoolDude request at www.kirkwood.edu/request and request the Microsoft Office product you wish to install on your home computer.
- The Help Desk staff will email you the Microsoft website and the program code. You will need to go to the Microsoft website and enter the product code.
- The cost of Office is $9.95. If you wish to order a DVD of Office, the cost is an additional $12.00. This information is explained further on the Microsoft website.
