GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Set-up and serve food and beverages to guests.  This position serves as a trainer.  Trainers are responsible for supervising the learning experiences of students and hourly employees in all areas of The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service for the banquet department.

·         Provide consistently high standard of service in all areas of service and meal functions related to group.

·         Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

·         Effectively handle customer concerns.

·         Participate in department and pre-shift meetings.

·         Understand and practice “Service Alcohol with Care” principles.

·         Maintain compliance with required training as designated by supervisor.

·         Regular and consistent attendance at work.

·         Perform other related work duties as assigned.

GENERAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH OR WITHOUT A REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

 

Position involves working in a business setting.  Occasional (10-33%) sitting, viewing equipment and supplies and other types of close visual work.  Frequent (34-66%) reaching, pulling, grasping and pushing. Constant (67-100%) standing, walking, repetitive motion, talking and listening.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Minimum age of 16 years required.

·         Customer service skills and knowledge are essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

·         Experience is preferred, but not required.

SALARY:
$10.00/hour
