Phi Theta Kappa is the only internationally recognized  honor society for 2-year colleges

Joining Beta Lamda Tau is easy, you must:

* have completed 12 credit hours at Kirkwood

* earned at least a 3.5 GPA in those classes

* fill out the application form

* return the form and $60 one-time membership fee to

         you can go to http://www.ptk.org/acceptmembership/
          and accept membership online.

Once you're a member, you can be as active or inactive as you like.  You need only join once, and must simply maintain a 3.25 GPA to remain in good standing.
