Amount: $500 per year

  • Award to multiple students.
  • Must enroll at least half-time (six credit hours).
  • Must have applied to a Kirkwood program prior to submitting a scholarship application.

  • Deadline: May 6, 2009. Partial applications will not be accepted.

Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship
Amount: Up to $800 per semester

  • Award to multiple students.
  • Must maintain at least eight semester hours, including at least one course in a subject other than music or theatre (need not be a Music or Theatre major to apply).
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must actively contribute to the Music and/or Theatre programs, including enrollment in ensembles and/or productions.

  • Must include a 500 word essay about why you want a legal assistant education.
  • Preference given to students who have immigrated into the U.S. within the past seven years or are the child of a parent who has lived in the U.S. less than seven years.

  • Award to multiple students.
  • Must maintain at least eight semester hours including at least one course in a subject other than music or theatre (need not be a Music or Theatre major to apply).

  • Must actively contribute to the Music and/or Performing Arts program, including enrollment in ensembles and/or productions.
  • An initial audition is required.

  • Preference given to a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender student, or one of his or her allies, who has done significant things to reduce the level of homophobia in his or her school or community.
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must mention how you qualify for this scholarship in the summary of your application.
