American Association of University Women’s Returning to Learning Scholarship-Iowa City Chapter
Amount: $500 per year

  • Award to a female returning adult student (25 years or older).
  • Preference given to student pursuing an A.S. degree with career interest in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, Engineering, Medicine or Pharmacy.
  • Must have a minimum 2.75 grade point average.
  • Must be a Johnson County resident.
  • Recipient will be invited to attend an Iowa City Chapter AAUW meeting.

 

Bank of the West Scholarship
Amount: $500 per year

  • Must be attending classes at the Linn County Regional Center.
  • Must have completed the College Prep courses and enrolled in developmental course work including basic writing, essential reading, basic math and academic prep.
  • Available to students with an income level that is at least 80% below the median household income.

 

Ben and Nina Smith Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be a permanent resident of Benton County.
  • Preference given to graduates of Benton Community School District or the Vinton Community School District (indicate if you meet the criteria).
  • Must be enrolled at either the Vinton Center or at the main campus (must indicate how you meet the criteria).
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. 
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Benton County Scholarship
Amount: $250 per semester 

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours during the semester of the award.

 

Bob and Bonnie Sierk Scholarship
Amount: $500 per year

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must be a resident of Johnson County and attend classes at either the main campus or at the Iowa City campus.
  • Must be a returning adult student who is attending Kirkwood to enhance or develop career goals. 
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Cedar County Scholarship
Amount: $250 per semester

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled in at least six crdit hours during the semester of the award.

 

David E. Cuckler Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be a graduate of Monticello High School.
  • Must be enrolled in a career program.
  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must provide two letters of recommendation with application.

Evelyn Mansfield Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must submit two written references.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age before the start of the fall semester.
  • Must have completed at least six semester credits with Kirkwood and be enrolled in a minimum of three semester credit hours at the Kirkwood Tippie-Mansfield Center (Belle Plaine) during the semester of the award (indicate if you meet the criteria).
  • No financial need documentation is required.

Farmers Trust and Savings Bank Scholarship
Amount: $500 per year

  • Must be a resident of Iowa County with preference given to Williamsburg residents.
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Henry B. Tippie Kirkwood Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Award to full-time students who are enrolled for a minimum of three semester credit hours at the Tippie-Mansfield Center in Belle Plaine (must indicate how you meet the criteria).
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

Iowa County Scholarship
Amount: $250 per semester

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours during the semester of the award. 

 

Jim and Ruth Ada Sauter Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year 

  • Must be a resident of Iowa County with preference given to students from the Deep River, Millersburg or English Valleys school districts (indicate if you meet the criteria).
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

John & Mona Hall Scholarship
Amount: $500 per year

  • Must be a graduate of English Valleys, H-L-V, Iowa Valley or Williamsburg Community Schools.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

 

Johnson County Scholarship
Amount: $500 - $1,000 per year

  • Students must attend the Iowa City campus.
  • Students must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.

 

Jones County Regional Education Center Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year 

  • Must have successfully completed one of the Jones Regional Academy programs during high school
  • Must be a graduate of Anamosa, Cascade, Central City, Maquoketa Valley, Midland, Monticello, or Springville High Schoo..
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled full-time.

 

Jones County Scholarship
Amount: $250 per semester 

  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at the Jones Regional Eduation Center during the semester of the award.

Keith and Janet Elwick Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be a permanent resident of Benton County with preference given to students from the Vinton Community School District (indicate if you are a Vinton-Shellsburg Community School graduate).
  • Must be enrolled full-time in a credit program at the Kirkwood Benton County Center (Vinton) or at the main campus at Cedar Rapids (indicate how you meet the criteria).
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Kiwanis A.M.ers Scholarship
Amount: $500 per semester; renewable for up to two semesters

  • Must be 19 years old or older.
  • Must have completed six credit hours during the last semester.
  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours at the Kirkwood Washington County Center.
  • Recipient will be expected to attend and speak at a Kiwanis A.M.ers meeting.

 

Lloyd and Joyce Welter Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be a graduate of Monticello High School. 
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must provide two letters of recommendation with application.

Amount: $1,000 per year 

  • Must be a graduate of Iowa City's City High School, West High School, Regina High School, or Clear Creek-Amana High School.
  • Must be a resident of Johnson County and attend class at the Iowa City campus.
  • Must be enrolled in Financial Services.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Orville and Loanna Bloethe Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be a permanent resident of Iowa County with preference given to students from the H-L-V Community School District (indicate if you are a graduate of H-L-V Community School District).
  • Must be enrolled full-time at either the Kirkwood Iowa County Center (Williamsburg) or the main campus in Cedar Rapids (indicate if you attend classes at Williamsburg). 
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Paul & Shari Glenn Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must be a second-semester student from Jones or Cedar County with preference given to graduate of North Cedar or Olin Consolidated Indpendent school district.
  • Must demonstrate evidence of leadership qualities and exhibit work habits that indicate future success
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Quaker Oats Minority Scholarship
 Amount: $1000 per year

  • Must be attending classes at the Linn County Regional Center.
  • Must be an under-represented population--non traditional, minority, single parent, first generation, female
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Virgil and Jean Kula Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $300 per year

  • Must be a student in a career program.
  • Must be a graduate of Monticello, Anamosa, or North Linn High School.
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must demonstrate responsible character attributes.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

 

Washington County Scholarship
Amount: $250 per semester

  • Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at the Washington County Center.
  • Must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

 

Wayne Newton Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must have been a Benton County Future Farmers of America (FFA) student and indicate how you meet the criteria.

 

 Wilmar Jansma Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies per year

  • Must be enrolled at the Iowa City campus in a science-related program or pursuing an A.S. degree with career interest in a science field.
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
  • Must have earned a minimum of 15 credit hours at Kirkwood Community College.
