How do I get started?
Talk to your high school guidance counselor and explain your interest in taking a high school distance learning course from Kirkwood. Review the courses listed on this site and determine which one(s) you want to complete. Your counselor will help you complete a registration form listing the specific course(s) you want to take. The lower part of the form must be signed by your counselor or principal, giving you written authorization and approval from your school to enroll in a Kirkwood distance learning course. Be sure to indicate if the course chosen is a correspondence or online course. Send the completed registration form with a check or money order payable to Kirkwood Community College, based on the following tuition:
Tuition can also be made paid using a credit card by calling the HSDL program at 319-366-0142.
Once the registration and payment have been received, all course materials--except for Physics courses--will be mailed to the test proctor identified on the registration form.
