Darin begins his 13th year as head coach of the Kirkwood Golf Team. He currently has an overall record of 610-131 in the twelve years at Kirkwood with 42 National qualifiers participating in the National Tournament in that span. Last year, the team won the Regional Tourney and finished 7th in the nation. His teams have finished in the top 15 in the nation 7of the last 9 years.

A 1991 graduate of Wapsie Valley High School, Darin was a four-sport letter winner. Also a golfer, he finished third in the state in both his junior and senior years, while helping his team to third place finishes in those years.

Darin then went to Coe College where he graduated in 1995 with a Business Administration degree and a minor in Economics and Physical Education. He played basketball and golf at Coe all four years, finishing in the top two of the conference golf tournament in every season, winning it his junior campaign. Coach Pint played golf for Bill Fletcher, who currently works as a rules committee member for many IGA events. He currently lives in Fairfax, IA with his wife, Anna.
