Entry Time: Fall, Spring or Summer
Award: Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts
Description: Students hoping to pursue economics at a four-year institution typically follow the Liberal Arts program requirements while at Kirkwood. Students complete a combination of general education and elective courses that prepare them for transfer. Economics courses can apply toward both the social science and elective requirements needed for the Associate of Arts degree.
Kirkwood has articulation agreements with many of the four-year institutions within the state of Iowa, including all three Regent Universities. These articulation agreements are in place in order to assist students in the transfer process. It is always recommended that students check with the Advising & Transfer Center (108 Iowa Hall) in order to ensure that they are aware of any specific requirements such as foreign language, laboratory science, diversity and grade point average.
