Web Technologies

Program description: The Web Technologies program provides students with skills needed to work in Web design and development. There are three distinct programs in Web Technologies:

Students in all three programs learn the fundamentals of designing Web pages, including basic programming and developing creative Web pages using CS3 Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Acrobat and Premiere.

Students also complete an e-commerce course and an emerging technology trends course in order to learn more about Web 2.0. Web Technologies students round out their program with a semester-long internship or capstone project.

Students in the Web Application Developer program take additional courses in Internet programming, Java, and database and SQL.

Students in the Web Graphic Designer program take additional courses in Adobe Photoshop, digital photography, Adobe Illustrator and marketing.

Students in the Web Marketing Specialist program take additional courses in marketing, advertising, customer service, retailing, selling and Web analytics.
