Kirkwood’s award-winning English Language Acquisition (ELA) program offers many opportunities for you to practice your English speaking and writing skills. When you enter the program, you will attend a program conference to learn more about Kirkwood, the American culture and what to expect from the ELA program. Information about the program conference will be given to you when you start classes.

All courses are taught in English, which helps prepare you for further study at Kirkwood or other colleges and universities. Additionally, studying English helps non-native speakers improve their employment and promotion opportunities.
