Faculty who participate in the CASTLE program receive the following benefits:

  • Textbook and materials provided at no cost

  • Angel CREOLE course registration and materials at no cost

  • Advice and guidance from expert consultants throughout the project development cycle

  • Full time faculty who successfully complete the CASTLE program are eligible to earn 48 contact hours of professional renewal credits. These requirements include:

    • successful completion of CREOLE Modules 1 and 2.
    • attendance at all CASTLE meetings, workshops and seminars
    • meet with CASTLE project manager once a month throughout project cycle
    • successful completion of a CASTLE classroom research case study and written report for publication on the CASTLE web site

  • Opportunities to discuss face-to-face and online important teaching/learning issues with colleagues in a community of learners

  • Option to use CASTLE as part of a faculty person's professional development plan

  • Acquisition of a scholarly methodology to conduct relevant classroom research studies to improve student learning and performance
