Entry Time: Fall, Spring or Summer

Award: Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts

Students hoping to pursue art at a four year or a professional institution of study, typically follow the Liberal Arts program requirements while at Kirkwood. Students complete a combination of general education and studio courses that prepare them for transfer. Art courses based upon interest can apply toward both the humanities and elective requirements needed for the Associate of Arts degree.

Kirkwood has articulation agreements with many of the four year institutions within the state of Iowa, including all three Regent Universities. These articulation agreements are in place in order to assist students in the transfer process. It is always recommended that students check with the Advising & Transfer Center (108 Iowa Hall) in order to ensure that they are aware of any specific requirements such as foreign language, laboratory science, diversity and grade point average.
