Automotive Technology
2-year AAS degree

The Automotive Technology program provides entry-level skills and knowledge for students who want to work in the automotive technology field. The curriculum emphasizes automotive electronics and features courses in body electrical, engine electrical and computerized fuel delivery systems. Our program is MasterTM-certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), and our instructors are certified Master Technicians by the National Institute of Automotive Services Excellence (ASE).

KIBBIE GRANT
Students in this program may be eligible to have half their tuition paid for by the Kibbie Grant.

SNAP-ON CERTIFIED TRAINING CENTER
Kirkwood is an authorized Snap-On Certified Training Center. After you complete the Snap-On Diagnostic products training and pass the rigorous test, you are considered a power user of Snap-On diagnostic tools, with an efficiency of 90-100 percent. Achieve master status (top 10 percent nationwide) and be one of the most sought after technicians in the field. Snap-On Certification is for the technician, educator or student who wants to be the best in the industry. Snap-on Certification, utilizing hands on training, will make you a power user of Snap-On diagnostic equipment. We currently provide factory training on Snap-On Verus, Modis, Solus-Pro, Vantage Pro, and Ethos scan tools as well as Shop-Key service information, and the EEDM525D Snap-On Multi-meter. HONDA PACT PROGRAM
Kirkwood was recently designated as a Honda PACT program school This Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) program mirrors the certification levels and individualized Skill Training methods taught at American Honda training centers. The PACT program is designed to educate and train students to become service department professionals specializing in maintenance and repair of Acura and Honda vehicles. As demand for qualified technicians grows, PACT program students gain the skills needed to maintain, diagnose and repair one of the world's most popular automobile brands. More information.
